There can&amp;#39;t be less than a billion other planets in the universe with the same makeup as earth. This is not including planets long dead and planets to be created. Give those planets enough time and the outcome is bound to produce life on a least several. My theory is: if it is possible, it will happen EVENTUALLY. My TFP post &amp;quot;Beyond the Pale Blue Dot ...&amp;quot; touched on the insignificance and inconsequentiality of our existence, and your post is very much in line with how I feel.  I recognize the probability in things and think in terms of probability rather than superstition.
